Robert Carter

September 10, 1915 – June 9, 2012

Major Robert Carter, 96, USAF retired, died June 9, 2012. Mr. Carter was the originator of the Wichita chapter of The Distinguished Flying Cross Society. He served as the President of the 95th Bomb Group Veterans Association.

He was baptized at Sharon Baptist Church. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Ginger; son, Hal Davis; daughters, Gigi Brown, Brenda (Arnold) Friedman; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.  

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center Hospice & Palliative Care Unit, 5500 E. Kellogg, Wichita, KS 67218.
