Leo M. Higgins, 88, Bradenton, died Jan 14, 2013. WWII Veteran, Bombardier/Navigator with the 336th Bomb Squadron, 95th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Corps. Retired from the agricultural industry. Founding director of National Agricultural Marketing Association, NYC.

Resident of Bradenton since 1985. Member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and many different organizations.

Predeceased by wife Rosemary, and sister Marguerite Heffernan. Survived by his children, Maureen Joseph of Kirkwood, MO, Leo III of Austin, TX, Rosemary McCabe & Kathleen Rouh both of Jacksonville, Barbara Micciulli of Freeport, NY, two sisters; Mary Finnerty and Alice Lauber of Bradenton, sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, Jan 18, 2013 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Committal services will be at Sarasota National Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.shannonfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements by Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, Bradenton.
