Edwin Andrew LeCorchick of Aurora, Colorado, a retired teacher and engineer, died January 11 at Aurora Regional Medical Center.  He was 71.

A service was January 14 at the Drinkwine Chapel in Littleton. Interment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.

LeCorchick was born July 19, 1922 in Uniontown, PA. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 and was inducted into the Air Force. LeCorchick flew 28 missions over Europe and survived an April 22, 1942 crash in the North Sea. Discharged in 1945, he received the Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Le Corchick attended Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania where he met Nelda Bailey. They married on September 10, 1946. He taught math for a number of years in Englewood schools and then worked for Martin Marietta Aerospace Corp. from which he retired as an engineer.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Charles, Fort Collins; a daughter, Jenny Zovein, Aurora; and six grandchildren.
