From the 95th BG Memorials Foundation Facebook page:

In deep sadness, the Memorials Foundation and the Heritage Association announce that Joseph “Joe” Gosselin of Somerset, MA, left formation on the night of 29 November 2015 at age 95. Mr. Gosselin was a 412th bombardier and former POW, having been shot down on the Berlin raid of 6 March 1944. Folded wings.

Joe loved the 95th. He enjoyed the mailings and cards he received from both fellow Memorials Foundation members and the students who wrote him. As well, Joe followed online posts about his bomb group. He was also a terrific family man. His daughter Cathy Stengel recently called her Dad “pretty wonderful, and I feel like I won a lottery in life when I got him for a father.”

Joe lived a good and long life. His body was frail at the end. However, his spirit and constitution remained strong to the last. Those characteristics, wrote Cathy, kept Joe from going "gently into more comforting skies.”
