With heavy hearts, the Memorials Foundation and the Heritage Association report that Arthur Edmond Galchutt of Bella Vista, AR, left formation on 15 October 2015 at age 90.  Arthur was a 334th ball turret gunner.  Folded wings.


Arthur was born in Minneapolis, MN, on 24 October 1924 to Walter and Hilda Galchutt.  His obituary relates that Arthur “moved to Bella Vista from Lakeville, MN, 28 years ago.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Churchof Bella Vista, Church Choir, Life member of the V.F.W. and past Commander, American Legion, Director of the Bella Vista Cemetery Board and Tanyard Creek Nature Trail Volunteer.

“He is survived by two sons, Mark Thomas and his wife of Clemmons, NC, David Brian and his wife of Maplewood, MN; one daughter, Jan Carol Bernstorf and her husband of Rochester, MN; one brother, Ralph Galchutt of Suncity, AZ; two sisters, Donna Thompson of Richfield, MN, Barbara Wandrei of Savage, MN; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.”A memorial service was held at Bella Vista, AK, on 23 October 2015 with later internment atFort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
