Ground Crew & Support Staff

The support personnel worked with unequaled dedication to make sure planes functioned at top effectiveness and that all airmen had every tool of war and operational support to complete each mission successfully.

Working in extreme weather conditions, through snow, ice, fog, and rain, flight operations support crews prepared combat planes with comprehensive care to withstand the rigors of high-altitude combat.  All base support personnel served superbly to keep the planes and flight crews in top shape.

May history honor the ordnance and armor crews, crew chiefs, welders, mechanics, photo lab technicians, flight surgeons, parachute packers, intelligence personnel, truck drivers, nurses, air traffic controllers, meteorologists, cooks, radio radar specialists, bakers, postmen, typists, quartermasters, Red Cross workers, military policemen, chaplains, and many others whose dedicated service sustained the complex organization that was the Base community of the 95th Bomb Group (H).
